…with the Alligator Pear
When you think of Avocadoes, do you think of fresh guacamole made tableside at Rosa Mexicano with plenty of salty chips and happy hour margaritas? Get ready to Guac and Roll and take your hair on a nature walk by slathering your locks with this nourishing treat.
One of our personal favorite recipes, just make sure to leave some extra for the chips.
- 1 small or medium ripe Avocado
- ¼ cup Olive oil
- 1 Tablespoon Honey
Mix all of the ingredients in a bowl. Coat your hair generously. Put on a shower cap or wrap in a towel. Sit back. Relax. Break out the chips and catch up on the latest episode of Real Housewives.
In 20 minutes, a light shampoo and rinse.
These wrinkly skinned green gems are full of healthy fats for your insides and out.
The nerdy stuff: avocadoes contain vitamins, minerals, iron, potassium, calcium and protein to name a few.
The sexy stuff: Avocadoes make your hair shine like the top of the Chrysler building. Watch in amazement as your lustrous locks inspire double takes just like a cheesy rerun of Charlie’s Angels.
Style as usual and be careful crossing the street because you just might stop traffic.

Love this idea…definitely gonna try it on my next staycation
I can’t beleive I’ve been going for years without knowing that.
Will that stuff grow hair? Otherwise I’m just gonna eat it.
Stands back from the keyboard in amaezemnt! Thanks!
What a great tip! Thank you. I have been trying to find a great (= inexpensive, easy & results-oriented) home hair mask for months and if I had to do one more mayo-mask I was going to shave my head bald instead. Thanks for the recipe – I’ll be rockin the green hair wrap mañana!
Back in shcool, I’m doing so much learning.
Help, I’ve been irnfoemd and I can’t become ignorant.
