Catch the Beauty Buzz on Going Green

Buzzzz, buzzzz.

The air was buzzing with the murmur of soft laughter and the lightly perfumed wafts of lime, basil and mandarin from Parks London’s 100% natural wax candles.

Thanks to Kristi Konieczny of The Spa Buzz, I was able to partake in an innovative spa and wellness event at the Relative Space Gallery in New York City.  Quite naturally, the theme of the Green Event focused on healthy and organic products that would help the spa industry go green.

So what’s the buzz about? The Spa Buzz connects leaders and innovators in the spa and wellness industry through networking events held in all the major cities.  It’s an amazing opportunity to mingle with spas and vendors in a social media outlet where you can check out new products, which I did with gleeful abandon.

First, I got pampered at the Moroccanoil table with a gentle exfoliation of my hands using their new Body Buff scrub.  Then, the kind ladies of La Bella Donna dusted my face with their mineral foundation and explained the natural content of their products.  At Sprayology, I was intrigued by the homeopathic oral sprays that were spritzed under my tongue. Additionally, I picked up the Party Relief spray in anticipation of an upcoming bachelorette party for a girlfriend.

There were also plenty of edible organic goodies to sample at the Green Event.  I sipped organic teas from Teatulía and walked away with a box of their delectably clean white tea with notes of peach. I dug into mini scoops of raw vegan ice cream and flipped through Clean Plates’ guide to healthy and sustainable restaurants.

And did I mention that the name cards are made of 100% recyclable paper ingeniously embedded with plantable seeds?  If you’re going to go green, The Spa Buzz shows no mercy and goes green all the way.
