It’s a Mad, Mad World
It’s March Mad-ness.
To celebrate the fifth season of Mad Men®, Banana Republic has designed another collection of 1960s inspired clothing in collaboration with the show’s costume designer, Janie Bryant.
Banana Republic describes the collection as being “inspired by the silhouettes of 1960s style, reinterpreted for today – and refreshed for the season.” I must wholeheartedly, and Mad-ly, agree with this sentiment. From what I can tell, the splashes of dahlia pink in the women’s collection evoke the perfect image of Spring in the 1960s. Indulge in the Mad-ness – the Banana Republic Mad Men® Collection is available now in stores and online.
For the first time ever, Estée Lauder is participating in March Mad-ness with a two-part makeup collection. Part 1 is released this March, for a limited time online at Estée Lauder and Bloomingdales. In line with the show’s love for drama and suspense, part 2 is set to be released sometime in 2013.
The collection is absolutely stunning and channels the glamour of Joan Harris and the other Mad ladies. If you haven’t been a fan of Estée Lauder cosmetics, the Mad Men® Collection Lipstick in Cherry and Creme Rouge in Evening Rose will surely change your mind. To add to the collection’s elegance, the packaging is a custom design re-invented from Estée Lauder’s old 1960s packaging. You can view real life swatches of the collection here.
Don’t let the boys have all the fun this March. Join in the Mad-ness with the Mad Men® collections.
